Head Coach Cameron Mitchell will step away from the Portland CC men’s basketball program after three seasons in charge of the Panthers.
Mitchell leaves Killingsworth Street with an overall record of 60-27, and a mark of 35-13 in NWAC South Region play. He coached multiple All-Region and All-Academic athletes on the way to two NWAC South titles, and two NWAC South Coach of the Year awards.
“Coach Mitchell’s impact on our program has been exceptional” said athletic director Anthony Broadous. “Under his leadership we captured two Region Championships, advanced to the Final Four, and Cameron earned two Coach of the Year honors. The standard he set will continue to shape our program for years to come. With a strong foundation firmly in place, we are excited to identify the right leader to guide us into the next chapter.”
A search for a new head coach of the Panthers will begin immediately.
