UNC-Wilmington has reassigned Head Coach Benny Moss to another position with in the Athletic Department. Moss, who has three-years left on his $170,000 per year contract, was in his 4th season at the helm, and had a 41-74 record including a 7-14 mark this season. The Seahawks lost at Hofstra by 39 on Wednesday, which apparently signaled the end for Moss. Rumor has it that assistant Brooks Lee will take over for the rest of the season.
This makes 5 head coaches who have been released so far this season. Moss, joins Terry Dunn (Dartmouth), Glen Miller (Penn), Jerry Wainwright (DePaul), and Dereck Whittenburg (Fordham) on the casualty list.
