A couple of things from the Mountain State…
• West Virginia Tech Head Coach Bob Williams has hired Nic Kjaerholt as a full-time assistant. Kjaerholt, a native of Denmark, replaces David Rawlinson who was interim assistant in 2013-14. Kjaerholt spent the past two years as the Graduate Assistant at Rio Grande University. He served as team captain and played two seasons for Williams at West Virginia Tech from 2009-11 and later was a Student-Coach. Kjaerholt also played at Broome CC (NY).
• I have heard that Shepherd University (WVa.) assistant Matt Miller has departed to become the head coach at St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown, MD. Last season was Miller’s first at Shepherd – he was the head coach at Winston Churchill (MD) HS before that. Miller will also serve as the Dean of Students.
