Mugar Steps Down as Framingham State Head Men’s Basketball Coach

After four seasons at the helm of the Framingham State University men’s basketball program, Peter Mugar has stepped down as head coach effective immediately.

During Mugar’s four seasons the Rams made three appearances in the MASCAC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament. Mugar has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

“I want to thank the players, current and former, the Athletic Department, and the University as a whole for their commitment to the basketball program over the past four years,” said Mugar. “It was a great experience and one that I am thankful for, which made the decision to leave a challenging one. I wish the program, department, and University the best of luck going forward.”

A search for the Rams next head men’s basketball coach is currently underway.
