After thirteen seasons as the head men’s basketball coach at William Jessup University, Aaron Muhic has resigned from his position.
Muhic coached eleven All-Americans, two academic All-Americans, twenty-four All-California Pacific Conference and fourteen academic award winners during his time at William Jessup University. In only the second year as a fully sanctioned NAIA Division II team, Coach Muhic led the Warriors to a season high NAIA Division II national ranking of 18th. The 2008-09 team set a new school record for league wins by going 13-3. The Warriors had four straight winning seasons from 2006-2010, while reaching three California Pacific Conference tournament championship games. The Warriors won the 2009-10 California Pacific Conference Men’s Basketball Championship which sent the Warriors to their first ever NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship appearance. In total, Muhic had a 171-190 overall record. He also served in many other capacities as the assistant athletic director and professor.
Assistant head coach Jeff Bussell has been named interim head coach for the Warriors.
