The 2019-20 season will be the inaugural campaign the Texas A&M Texarkana men’s basketball program, and a coaching change has already been made…
Charles Goar, who was hired as the first-ever men’s basketball coach in program history back in March has resigned. It sounds like he has entered the private sector. He had previously served as the head coach at the University of the Southwest (2013-2018).
I have heard from a great source, and can now confirm that Ryan Wall has been hired to replace Goar. Wall was the head coach at fellow Red River Athletics Conference member Our Lady of the Lake University (TX) from 2013-18. During his tenure with the Saints, Wall compiled a 106-45 record (69-23 RRAC).
The official announcement is expected next week.
