Chris Dial has departed Texas A&M-San Antonio and has been named as the boy’s varsity basketball coach at St. Mark’s School of Texas. He has been replaced on an interim basis by assistant coach David Smith.
Dial was named as the inaugural head coach at San Antonio back in 2024 following a six-year stint as the head coach at Our Lady of the Lake University (TX). Smith, who served for over 23 years in the United States Army, had been with Dial for the past six seasons – two at San Antonio and four at OLLU.
Additionally, Zach Adair will join the staff as an assistant coach. He spent last season as the assistant head coach at D2 Sul Ross State.
An official announcement on these moves is expected shortly.
