NAIA DIRT: Hepker to take over at MidAmerica Nazarene

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

MidAmerica Nazarene assistant Adam Hepker has been promoted to head coach following the retirement of legendary coach Rocky Lamar.

Hepker returned to MNU as an assistant last season after serving as an assistant at Ottawa University Arizona. He had previously served as an assistant at MNU from 2010-15, before departing for Grand View, where he spent two seasons.

Hepker was a four-year starter for Lamar at MNU (2004-08). During his time as a player, the Pioneers won 115 games, and played in four NAIA National Tournaments.

Lamar, an NAIA Hall of Famer, retired after the season. He had been the head coach at MNU since 1986, and had won over 800 career games.

An official announcement on Hepker’s hiring is expected shorty.
