NAIA DIRT: Interim Head Coach now out at Jamestown; Jimmies on to 3rd coach in two days

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

Yesterday, I first reported (and confirmed) that Danny Neville was out as the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Jamestown. At that time, assistant Taylor Jones was named as the interim head coach, and appeared on the website with the the interim title.

24-hours later, multiple sources have told me that Jones is no longer with the team, and is in fact not listed anymore on the website.

This was from yesterday:

Today’s roster (HERE) only features the GA, student assistant, and strength coach.

I have heard from a few people that they expect current UJ Vice President of Enrollment Management Greg Ulland to take over next. Ulland is an UJ alum who won over 200 games as the Jimmies women’s basketball head coach. Ulland stepped down in 2018 to assume his current role after winning 215 games during his tenure.

More on this story as it continues to develop.
