Not quite sure what’s going on at NAIA Midway University, but I can confirm that the men’s basketball job has now opened for the second time this off season.

Midway released veteran head coach Joe Krupinski back in March following a 16-12 (11-7 RSC) season. A few months later, they hired Rust College head coach Mike Poindexter to replace Krupinski. Poindexter apparently didn’t last long at Midway.

Fortunately, Krupinski, who started the program at Midway back in 2016 has landed at a better place. He is now an assistant coach at D2 Kentucky Wesleyan.

No word on why Poindexter departed, but I did hear that Midway plans to have a new head coach in place by the start of the fall semester.
