I can confirm that NAIA Wayland Baptist will hire Clint Galyean as their new head men’s basketball coach. He will replace Ty Harrelson who resigned at WBU last week.

Galyean had been the head coach at NAIA Central Baptist College since 2018. During the 2019-20 season, he led CBC to a 22-9 record, the co-AMC regular-season championship, and advanced to their third straight selection to the NAIA National Tournament.

Before taking over as the head coach at CBC, Galyean had spent one season as an assistant there. He also worked as an assistant coach at Angelo State.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
