NAIA NEWS: McBeth out as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Friends U

Friends University VP of Athletics & Strategic Expansion Dr. Rob Ramseyer has announced that the men’s basketball program will be going in a different direction at head coach for the 2023-24 season.

“We thank Austin McBeth for his contributions as head coach during the past two seasons to our men’s basketball program,” said Ramseyer. “His commitment to our mission did not go unnoticed, and we wish nothing but the best going forward for him and his family.”

McBeth arrived on campus for the 2020-21 season following a stint as head assistant coach for NCAA D-II Truman State University.

In his debut season, McBeth coached two All-KCAC performers and a pair of all-freshman members.

Friends University has selected the team of Dr. Kurt Patberg and Jeremy Capo with Mammoth Sports Consulting to lead the search.
