North Carolina A&T AD Earl M. Hilton III announced today that head men’s basketball coach Jay Joyner has been suspended indefinitely. Assistant coach Willie Jones will serve as the interim head coach until further notice.

Joyner has been the head coach at NC A&T since 2016. He took over for Cy Alexander midway through the 2015-16 season, and was elevated the permanent head coach after that campaign.

Coming off back-to-back 19+ win seasons, NC A&T is currently 3-10.

The school will not comment on the reason for the suspension. More on this as we hear it.
