University of New Mexico head men’s basketball coach Steve Alford has announced that Chicago native Brandon Mason has been named Video Administrator for the program, completing his staff for the 2012-13 season.
Mason has had a solid career in basketball, starting with his collegiate career at New Mexico State, where he was a 1,000-point scorer and a two-time team Defensive Player of the Year. Mason has had a solid career overseas, most recently playing in Lebanon for Byblos Sporting Club with former Lobo great Tony Danridge.
Mason also has also spent time playing professionally in New Mexico with the Gallup Talons (ABA) and the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (NBDL), playing for former Lobo great Michael Cooper, winning the D-League title.
