Louisiana Tech Assistant Resigns

Louisiana Tech basketball assistant coach Rennie Bailey has resigned from his duties. No official reason was given. Head Coach Kerry Rupp said the search for his replacement has already begun.

Drew Hires Head Coach

Darryl Keckler, most recently the top assistant at Gettysburg College, has been named Head Coach at Drew University in New Jersey. He replaces Walter Townes.

Durham hired at New Mexico State

Mick Durham was added to Marvin Menzies staff as an assistant. Durham was the head coach at Montana State for 16 seasons before retiring in 2006. He has a career record of 246-213.

DIII Legend Steps Down

Albion’s Mike Turner has retired effective immediately. Turner has been the head coach at Albion since 1974 and accumulated 527 wins. he will be replaced by assistant coach Jody May.

West Texas A&M Hires Assistant

Arendijus Mejeras returns to his alma mater as an assistant coach for the 2008-09 campaign. The 2004 graduate of WTAMU previously served as an assistant at Weatherford College, where he spent the past three seasons. UNC-Greensboro Adds Director of Operations

Ben Thompson has been named Director of Basketball Operations at UNC-Greensboro. Thompson most recently served as the graduate manager at Virginia Tech. He replaces Tripp Pendergast who took an assistants job at DII Pfeiffer University over the summer.

Bowling Green Adds Assistant

Bowling Green State University head men’s basketball coach Louis Orr has announced the hiring of Louis Twigg as an assistant coach. Twigg began his duties with the Falcons on Monday (Sept. 29).
