Sources tell me that American University has hired Lamar Barrett as an assistant. Barrett has been an assistant at Brown for the past two seasons. Before that, he worked for the Hoop Group. He replaces Robert Burke, who became the head coach at Mount St. Mary’s last month. Expect an official announcement shortly.

NYC JC rumors…….
I’ve heard that Fashion Institute head coach Michael Kerr is out and has accepted the job at Borough of Manhattan CC. Kerr has had three very successful seasons at FIT, including being named Region XV DIII Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2009. He would replace Dan Nigro at BMCC. Nigro is apparently involved

According to the Hartford Courant, UConn assistant coach Pat Sellers and director of operations Beau Archibald have resigned. Their resignations come before today’s press conference where UConn will announce an update on the NCAA investigation into possible recruiting violations. Skidmore head coach Luke Flockerzi will be named the next head coach at the University of Rochester. In 3 seasons at Skidmore Flockerzi has posted an overall record of 30-46. Prior to becoming a head coach he was an assistant under David Hixon of Amherst and Mike Neer of Rochester.
