Stan Orgodnick has resigned as the Head Basketball coach at Trinity College. Ogrodnik compiled a 478-186 (.720) record to go along with seven NCAA Tournament bids (including last season), four ECAC Division III New England titles, and eight consecutive appearances in the NESCAC Championship Tournament. Kansas Hires Administrative Assistant

Barry Hinson, the former head coach at DI Missouri State has accepted the position of administrative assistant on Bill Self’s staff at Kansas. Hinson, who was at Missouri State for the past nine seasons also served as an assistant under Self at Oral Roberts.

Colby Hires Assistant

Former Colby standout Nick Farrell has been hired as an assistant at his alma mater. The 2007 graduate is the 24th all-time leading scorer at Colby with 1,087 points.

DIII Rosemont (PA) Hires Head Coach

Rosemont College hired Ryan Tozer as it’s first ever men’s basketball coach. The DIII school which recently went coed will begin play in men’s basketball in 2009-2010. Tozer, who was an assistant at Holy Family, will spend this season recruiting.

DIII CalTech Hires Assistants

The California Institute of Technology men’s basketball program, under the direction of head coach Oliver Eslinger, has named Craig Heffernan, Adam Levitt, Dennis McCreary, and Jamayne Potts volunteer assistant coaches for the 2008-09 season.

Louisiana Tech Assistant Resigns

Louisiana Tech basketball assistant coach Rennie Bailey has resigned from his duties. No official reason was given. Head Coach Kerry Rupp said the search for his replacement has already begun.

Drew Hires Head Coach

Darryl Keckler, most recently the top assistant at Gettysburg College, has been named Head Coach at Drew University in New Jersey. He replaces Walter Townes.

Durham hired at New Mexico State

Mick Durham was added to Marvin Menzies staff as an assistant. Durham was the head coach at Montana State for 16 seasons before retiring in 2006. He has a career record of 246-213.
