Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NJCAA Region 2) has added assistant Gabe Palmquist-Clark to the staff following the departure of Javier Lewis after his move to Sequoyah high school in Claremore Oklahoma.
Palmquist-Clark comes to NEO A&M after a 2-year stint at Howard College (TX) in the competitive WJCAC conference in Region 5 of the NJCAA. Howard went 34-22 in these two years. Additionally, Howard finished 8th and 5th in the country for Team GPA’s amongst NJCAA Men’s Basketball teams. Before Howard, Palmquist-Clark had juco stops at Vincennes University, Kilgore College, and Lane Community College.
Palmquist-Clark also worked at Western Oregon University during their NCAA Division 2 Final Four run. Western Oregon went 31-4, won the GNAC Regular season conference title, GNAC Tournament, Hosted the D2 Western Regional, and finished ranked #3 in the final NCAA Division 2 Rankings. Palmquist-Clark worked at Holy Names University in the Division 2 Pacwest Conference for a year prior to Western Oregon.
Palmquist-Clark joins the staff with Head Coach Jeremy Jackson and Assistant Coach Bruce Chavka. Palmquist-Clark rejoins Bruce Chavka who came to NEO A&M two seasons ago after 12 years as the Head Coach at Lane Community College. Head Coach Jeremy Jackson played for Coach Chavka during his time as the Head Coach at Napa Valley Community College (CA).
NEO A&M has won the Region 2 Conference title the last 2 years as well as receiving bids to the NJCAA National tournament in both of those years. NEO A&M has gone 52-14 and won 23 consecutive home games in Jeremy Jackson’s first two years as the head coach. NEO A&M looks to win third conference championships in a row and capitalize on a talented and sophomore heavy team.
