Northern Kentucky Dirt…

The search at Northern Kentucky has really picked up steam over the past two days. According to great sources, there are two candidates who have really emerged here. I am hearing that Cincinnati associate head coach Larry Davis, and Wisconsin Green Bay head coach Brian Wardle are the leaders for this one. Davis spent this past season as the acting head coach at Cincinnati while Mick Cronin was recovering from an illness. Before coming to UC, he was the head coach at Furman (1997-2006), and has also been an assistant at Minnesota, Wake Forest, Delaware, and Ball State. Wardle has been the head coach at UWGB since for the past five seasons, and has compiled a 95-67 record (with back-to-back 24 win seasons in 2013-14 and 2014-15). He spent five seasons as an assistant to Tod Kowalczyk at UWGB before being elevated to head coach in 2010.

It sounds like they are making progress with the search, and a decision could be made very shortly. I’ll keep you posted as I hear more.
