Northland College coach resigns

Northland College head coach Rob Robinson is stepping down effective immediately. He had just completed his seventh season at the helm of the Lumberjacks. Coach Robinson began his coaching career at Northland in 1994 as an assistant for the men’s basketball team, helping them achieve back-to-back 19 win seasons and an appearance in the 1996 NAIA National Tournament. In 1997, he was named Head Coach of Northland’s Women’s Basketball program. Coach Robinson led the Jills to five UMAC championships and two NAIA National Tournament appearances, and was named Coach of the Year five consecutive seasons. A national search is expected.
