Following up on a story that HoopDirt.com first reported on March 21st (DIII DIRT). It has now been made official that CCNY has made a men’s basketball coaching change. The college has released the following statement;
“Effective Immediately, Paul Dail has stepped down from his role as head men’s basketball coach, after two seasons leading the program. After being appointed as head coach for the 2017-18 season, he improved the program’s cumulative grade-point average to a 3.00.”
Dail, a CCNY alum had been the Beavers head coach for the past two seasons. His team finished 6-19 (6-10 CUNYAC) this past season, and he wraps up his time at the school with an 8-42 overall mark.
A national search for each program will begin immediately.
