I mentioned this earlier in the week – here’s the official release from Duquesne…
Duquesne University head men’s basketball coach Jim Ferry announced today that Josh Pelletier has been named director of administration.
Pelletier comes to DU from LIU Brooklyn where he served as director of operations for Jack Perri’s NCAA Tournament team this past season.
As director of operations, Pelletier assisted the LIU Brooklyn coaching staff in all facets of the men’s basketball program including advance opponent scouting, recruiting, film breakdown and team travel. He also coordinated the recruiting data base and implemented the program’s community outreach initiatives.
Prior to his stint at LIU Brooklyn, Pelletier spent three years as part of head coach Will Brown’s staff at the University at Albany – including the last two as a graduate assistant.
At UAlbany, he handled film exchange and was responsible for all video production. He also coordinated travel plans, assisted with on-campus recruitment, supervised student managers and was the co-director of the summer basketball camp.
Pelletier was part of three NCAA Division II tournament teams under legendary head coach Brian Beaury as an undergraduate at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. where he was a team captain as a senior.
The Troy, N.Y. native earned his B.A. in social studies/secondary education from Saint Rose in May of 2009 and completed his master’s in liberal studies with a concentration in education at UAlbany in May of 2012.
