Park University Gilbert Head Men’s Basketball Coach Gordon Stubblefield has announced the hiring of Rob Rollinson as an assistant coach on the Buccaneers coaching staff. Rollinson will be responsible for recruiting for the Bucs as well as player development, on floor coaching and video.
“I am excited to add a man of Robert’s character and basketball knowledge to what is already a great staff,” said Stubblefield. “His ability to teach and connect with kids and make them better will benefit us immediately.”
Rollinson comes to Park Gilbert after one season at the University of Saint Francis in Joliet, Ill., where he was in a similar role during the 2019-20 season. Rollinson helped tutor one all-conference player and four all-academic selections last season.
Prior to USF, Rollinson spent a year as an assistant coach at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Ariz. With the Cougars, he helped mentor six players who went on to play at four-year universities (2 DI, 2 DII, 2 NAIA).
From 2017-2019 Rollinson was a head coach for the Grand Canyon University Club Basketball team under the direction of GCU director of basketball operations Matt Gordon.
The Gardena, Calif., native played one season at El Camino Community College in Torrance, Calif., where he played for Robert Uphoff.
Rollinson is 2019 graduate of Grand Canyon University with a BA in Psychology.
