Howard Payne University Head Coach Charles Pattillo has announced his retirement effective immediately. Payne has been the head coach at HPU since the 1993-1994 season with a career record of 179-204 in 15+ seasons at the school. He is a 1965 graduate of the University and has coached at the high school and college level, amassing over 500 wins in his career. No immediate successor has been named but University officials hope to make the announcement later this week.
