Two quick rumors from the Peach State…
• I have now heard from a bunch of people that Samford assistant Yasir Rosemond will replace Stacey Palmore on Mark Fox’s staff at Georgia. Rosemond has been at Samford for two seasons and has also worked at Seattle and his alma mater Oregon. Sounds like this will be made official in the next few days.
• It sounds like South Georgia Technical College didn’t have to look far for a replacement for recently departed head coach Steven Wright. I have heard that the college will promote assistant coach Douglas Byrd to the top spot. Byrd was a HS coach in Georgia before joining Wright’s staff.
