Pfeiffer University men’s basketball head coach Jeremy Currier announced Wednesday that Ben McDonald has been named to the Falcons coaching staff. McDonald will serve as assistant basketball coach, head junior varsity coach, and strength and conditioning coach for the athletic department.
McDonald comes to Pfeiffer from Cortland, New York, where he ran Status Pro Athletics and was the Athletics Coordinator and head coach basketball coach at Southern Cayuga Central High School. As the founder of Status Pro, McDonald specialized in strength and conditioning and on court player development for high school, college, and professional players. McDonald built Status Pro into the premier basketball training program in Central New York. As the head coach at Southern Cayuga Central High School McDonald led the 2012-13 Chiefs to their highest win total in the last decade.
