Multiple reports, including one from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette have confirmed that new Pitt head coach Jeff Capel will add Tim O’Toole and Jason Capel to his staff.

O’Toole has most recently served as the associate head coach at Cal. He also served as an assistant at Stanford, Syracuse and Duke (when Capel played there), and was the head coach at Fairfield (1998-2006).

Jason Capel is the younger brother of Jeff. He played at North Carolina (1998-02), and was the head coach at Appalachian State (2010-14).

It sounds like current Director of Basketball Operations will remain in that position. He has been on the Pitt staff for the past seven seasons in various administrative positions.

Capel still has one assistant position to fill on his staff. Rutgers assistant, and Pitt alum Brandin Knight is a name that has been rumored to be involved with the final spot.
