Will Portlock has joined the Maine Maritime Academy men’s basketball program as an assistant coach.

A 2017 graduate of Covenant College, Portlock earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies while playing for the Scots for all four years. As a player, Portlock helped lead the team to the program’s first-ever USA South Conference Championship and a birth to the NCAA Tournament during the 2015-2016 season.

The Winter Haven, Florida native, most recently served as a volunteer coach at Polk State University after spending a season at his Alma Mater as an assistant coach.

Portlock also spent five months with the National Basketball League in England as a semi pro player, where he was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award.
