The Post University family is excited to hire one of its own as former Eagle and 2019 graduate Levy Gillespie was named assistant coach of the Post University men’s basketball team.
Gillespie was with the Eagles for three seasons. In his senior season in 2018-2019, he averaged seven points a game for the Eagles while shooting 36% from three-point range, good for 22nd in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
He scored a career and game-high 19 points while shooting 6-for-12 from three in the final game of his career, an 85-56 win over Concordia.
Gillespie is a native of Meriden, Conn., and graduated with a B.S. in Sports Management.
“I am very happy to have Levy join the staff,” head coach Marc Kuntz said. “During his last two years here, he was an assistant coach as a player. He has a great understanding and feel for the game and will help our program move forward this year with his insight.”
