Presutti elevated to Associate Head Basketball Coach at Buffalo

University at Buffalo men’s basketball Head Coach George Halcovage III announced that Assistant Coach/Director of Recruiting Jake Presutti has been elevated to Associate Head Coach.

“We are beyond excited to announce that Jake Presutti has been elevated into the role of Associate Head Coach,” stated Head Coach George Halcovage III. “Jake’s leadership and basketball acumen are imperative to our success at Buffalo now and into the future. To have such dynamic leaders in Coach Presutti and Coach Tibbs are invaluable to me as the Head Coach. Congrats to Jake, Brittany and the Presutti boys on this more than deserved promotion.”

Presutti joined the Bulls’ staff on April 12th as Halcovage’s final staffing hire.

He was part of the Pitt Panthers basketball staff since Oct. 2021 as an assistant coach for scouting. The Panthers finished with a 24-12 overall and 14-6 in ACC play. Pitt won their NCAA First Four game against Mississippi State and then went on to defeat 6-seed Iowa State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers faced Xavier in the Second Round.

Previously to Pitt, he spent the previous seven seasons on the staff at Marquette. The Golden Eagles made the NCAA Tournament twice during his time at Marquette.

The Bulls open the regular season on Monday, Nov. 6 against Fairleigh Dickinson at 7:30 p.m. following the women’s opener against Canisius at 5 p.m.
