Holy Cross men’s basketball head coach Dave Paulsen has announced that DeVon Price has been hired as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
“We’re excited to have Devon join our staff, said head coach Dave Paulsen. “I got to know him on the road as we were both recruiting and was impressed with his work ethic, professionalism, and knowledge of the game. He comes highly recommended from Mike Martin, one of my closest friends in the profession. Dev has already made an impact on our program, bringing a relentless energy and positivity to the office and the court each day.”
Price joins the Crusaders following a two season stint at Brown under head coach Mike Martin as the operations coordinator before his promotion to assistant coach for the 2025-26 campaign.

At Brown, Price coached Landon Lewis, who was an All-Ivy League first team selection, and Isaiah Langham, a five-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week. While in Rhode Island, Price was responsible for special teams/scouting opponents, late game situations, and player personnel tendencies. He also led Brown’s transition defense, which ranked 12th nationally in defensive efficiency during the 2025-26 season.
Before Brown, Price spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Denison University. While at Denison, he served as the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for the Big Red. Price helped Denison reach the 15-win milestone in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns, marking the third-most wins in program history.
Price played collegiately for the University of Rio Grande (NAIA) and graduated in 2018. He served as team captain in 2017-18 and led the team in assists and steals as both a junior and senior.
Following graduation, Price served as an assistant for two years at Bluffton University and helped the program tie the record for its winningest season in program history in 2018-19 while also earning a Master of Business Administration from Bluffton in 2020.
