Winthrop’s Mark Prosser has been promoted to men’s basketball associate head coach,, it was announced on Monday by head coach Pat Kelsey. Prosser’s promotion is effective September 1.

Prosser is in his second year on Kelsey’s staff after serving as an assistant coach during the 2012-13 season. The son of the late Skip Prosser who coached Kelsey at Xavier and later served as his mentor at Wake Forest, Mark Prosser joined Winthrop’s staff after one year as the head coach at Brevard College, four years as an assistant during two different stints at Wofford College, and five years at Bucknell University.
