Quiet on the coaching front…..

Not much to report these days, but I can confirm that Morrisville State has hired a new coach, but he won’t arriving on campus until the end of the month. Joseph Smith had been a player / coach for a professional team in Denmark last season. Before that, he was an assistant at SUNY Utica. In one of the stranger ways to announce a hiring, Morrisville AD Greg Carroll gave out all of the above info in his rejection letters to the other applicants (there were apparently over 90 of them). None of this has been posted on the website yet, even though the letter is dated 9/14. It was a very nice letter, but a strange way to announce a hiring.

Peter Stathakis, an assistant coach at DIII Mt. Ida College is our 1,000th "friend" on Facebook!! He is a graduate of Western New England College where he also spent two seasons as an assistant afger his playing days ended. He is fired up about his Mustangs this year, and thinks they can make a run at the GNAC title. You can check out his squad here:

Go Mustangs! we’ll be rooting for you guys this year!!

Finally, a lot of clinics have been posted lately – check them out. Coaches from all over the country have been submitting them to us. Keep ’em coming…..
