Radford head men’s basketball coach Mike Jones has added Drew Scott to the Highlanders staff. Scott will serve as Assistant Director of Basketball Operations working directly with video coordination and other aspects of the operations side of the RU program.
Scott comes to Radford from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. where he served as an assistant coach in 2013-14. Prior to Guilford, he spent one season as an assistant at Emory & Henry and two seasons as a graduate assistant at Akron, where he worked with RU’s Director of Basketball Operations, Matthew Futch.
"Drew brings a wealth of experience at knowing the New River Valley and having built many relationships in recruiting throughout Virginia and North Carolina," Jones said. "His knowledge of basketball and video editing made him the ideal candidate for this position, plus his personality and ability to relate well with our players helps our staff be great mentors to our guys. We are fortunate to have him aboard."
Scott is a 2009 graduate of Virginia Tech with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Communications.
