Heiden Ratner is beginning his first year with Kentucky Christian University. Ratner will be a graduate assistant coach with the men’s basketball team this season. Coach Ratner comes to KCU from Las Vegas. Before starting his coaching career Heiden was a player at top levels, he started his college playing career as a combo guard at James Madison University before transferring and finishing his college career at Mercyhurst College in Eerie, PA.
After graduating college Coach Ratner traveled overseas to play basketball professionally in Israel for Maccabi Hod Hasharon. Heiden and his wife Neena, married in November 2011, decided that they were ready for the next phase in their life and are both planning to continue their education at KCU. Coach Ratner will be earning his Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership and eventually he and Neena would like to be involved in Church Planting.
Coach Ratner will be busy during his time at KCU as he will also be the Youth Minister at Carter Christian Church and he, along with former KCU football player, TJ Young, is starting a FCA group on campus.
