Jake Rauchbach has joined New York University as an assistant men’s basketball coach. He will serve as the team’s mental performance coach, overseeing integrated player development programs and working with players to eliminate mental performance blocks.
Rauchbach brings international and NCAA Division I coaching experience to his new position, as well as time spent as a high-performance consultant to high-school All-American, college, professional, and Olympic athletes. As head coach for Maccabi Team USA Men’s Open, he led the squad to the gold medal at the 2019 Games in Budapest, Hungary. Rauchbach also won gold as an assistant coach with the team at the 2017 World Maccabiah Games in Jerusalem.
During the 2017-18 season, Rauchbach served as assistant coach/director of player development for the Ironi-Ness Ziona Basketball Club of the Israeli SuperLeague. His responsibilities included overseeing integrated player development programs, working with the offense and scouting. At the college level, Rauchbach served as player performance specialist, consultant and graduate assistant for the men’s basketball team at Temple University from 2004-18 under Head Coach Fran Dunphy. While there, Rauchbach’s responsibilities included overseeing integrated player development programs, assisting with scouting and providing film breakdowns.
Prior to working at Temple, Rauchbach served as head assistant coach for Westchester Country Day School (2013-14), as a graduate assistant for Drexel University’s men’s basketball program (2011-12) and as an assistant coach for Neumann University (2011).
The owner and founder of the MindRight Pro® Program, Rauchbach has served as a consultant for the NBA, EuroLeague, NFL, UFC, Olympic and World Champions, McDonald’s All-Americans, High School All-Americans, college, professional, and Olympic athletes, helping them maximize their performance consistently by removing performance blocks.
A 2008 graduate of Drexel with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Rauchbach was a four-year member of the Dragons’ basketball team, which made four NIT appearances. He went on to earn a MBA, specializing in innovation and personnel management, from Drexel in 2012, then a master’s degree in kinesiology, specializing in the psychology of human movement, from Temple in 2016.
