Brad Brownell will return for his 11th season at Clemson according to a report in The State.
The Tigers struggled through a 16-15 (9-11 ACC) season, but did beat No. 3 Duke, No. 5 Louisville and No. 6 Florida State along the way. Brownell’s squad also beat North Carolina for the first-time in school history (0-59).
Brownell inked a new 6-year contract back in 2018 following the Tigers Sweet Sixteen appearance. Brownell will make $2.2 million next season and 2021-22, then $2.3 million for 2022-23 and 2023-24.
The buyout figure for Brownell is $4,255,000 as of April 1 according to the USA Today annual survey of college basketball salaries.
