With the departure of Kenny Payne to the Knicks, it seems that John Calipari has worked quickly to find his replacement. According to a Tweet by Jon Rothstein, Cal will hire Indiana assistant Bruiser Flint.
Flint worked for Calipari at UMass from 1989-96, and took over after Calipari departed for the NBA. He spent five seasons as the head coach there before moving on to Drexel where he worked from 2001-16. In his 20-seasons as a D1 head coach, Flint compiled a 331–289 (.534) record. He had been serving as an assistant at Indiana since 2017.
More on this one when it becomes official.
