Charlotte is expected to hire Virginia associate head coach Ron Sanchez as their new head coach. This was first reported earlier today by Evan Daniels. He will replace interim head coach Houston Fancher who took over in December after Mark Price was fired.

Sanchez has been at Virginia for the past nine seasons. He has also worked at Washington State and Indiana.

An official announcement is expected later today. More on this once it becomes official.
