According to a Jeff Goodman report, Ole Miss is expected to hire Chris Beard as their new head men’s basketball coach. Beard would replace Kermit Davis who was released back on February 24th.

Beard spent 1+ years at Texas before being fired on January 5th following his arrest on a felony domestic family violence charge which stemmed from an incident involving his fiancee. The third-degree felony charge was dismissed after Beard’s fiancee refused to press charges.
