According to a report by Jon Rothstein, Cleveland State will hire Iowa State assistant Daniyal Robinson as their new head men’s basketball coach. Robinson was NOT listed as a finalist by HoopDirt.com earlier today (whiff).
Robinson was retained by head coach T.J. Otzelberger last spring and just completed his seventh season at ISU. It is Robinson’s second stint in Ames after having served on Greg McDermott’s staff from 2008-10. He was also on Steve Prohm’s staff from 2015-21.
An official announcement is expected shortly, and a press conference has been scheduled for 2pm tomorrow.
