According to a report from Field of 68’s Goodman, the College of Charleston is expected to hire former Louisville and Xavier head coach Chris Mack to replace Pat Kelsey (Louisville).
Mack had a ton of success at Xavier (2009-18), making the NCAA tournament in 8 of his 9 seasons with the Musketeers and advancing to four Sweet 16’s and one Elite 8. His 2018 team earned the #1 seed in the West Region. Mack struggled at Louisville (2018-22) and was bought out midway through the 2021-22 season. He owns a 278-133 (.676) overall mark in his 13 seasons as a D1 head coach.
