According to multiple reports, including one from Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman, the University of Washington will hire Utah State’s Danny Sprinkle as their next head basketball coach. He would replace Mike Hopkins who was released back on March 8th.
Sprinkle led Utah State to a 28-7 (14-4 Mountain West) record in his first and only season with the Aggies. His squad was knocked out of the NCAA Tournament last night by #1 seed Purdue.
Prior to his time at USU, Sprinkle compiled an 81-43 (.653) record as the head coach at his alma mater Montana State.
More on this once it becomes official.
