Washington State is parting ways with head basketball coach Ernie Kent. This was first reported by Jon Rothstein.

Kent had been at Washington since 2014, and had never been able to get it going there. He went 58-98 in his five seasons in Pullman, including an 11-21 (4-14 PAC-12) mark this year. He had never won more than 13 games in a season during his time with the Cougars.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
