According to multiple reports, including one from Pete Thamel, Georgia Southern is set to name Alabama assistant Charlie Henry as their new head men’s basketball coach.

Henry is in his fourth season at Alabama, and was the head coach of the G-League’s Windy City Bulls (2017-19) before that. He also served as an assistant to Fred Hoiberg at Iowa State and with the Chicago Bulls.

Henry got his start in coaching as an assistant to current Alabama head coach Nate Oats at Romulus High School (MI) in 2009.

He will replace Brian Burg who was not renewed back on 3/9 after three seasons on the job.

An official announcement is expceted shortly.
