According to a report by Jeff Greer of the Louisville Courier-Journal, Louisville acting head coach David Padgett will add Greg Paulus to his staff as an interim assistant basketball coach. Paulus had been on the staff at Ohio State since 2011, and was not retained when Chris Holtmann took over as the Buckeyes head coach back in June. A former point guard at Duke, Paulus also played Quarterback at Syracuse for one season after after exhausting his eligibility with the Blue Devils.

Paulus is the second interim assistant coach to be hired by Padgett since he took over on Septmeber 29th. Last week, former LSU, Nevada, Stanford and TCU head coach Trent Johnson was named to the Cardinals staff. Paulus and Johnson replace Jordan Fair (fired) and Kenny Johnson (placed on leave).

According to the report, a 2pm press conference is scheduled for today to make the announcement.
