According to multiple reports, including one from the Field of 68, UNCG will hire Jerod Haase as their new head basketball coach. This has been an interesting search…I mentioned Haase here back on 3/10 (Daily Dirt), but it later sounded like UNCG had moved onto other candidates. Apparently now Haase is the choice, inking a reported 5-yr deal.

The former UNC and Kansas assistant had been the head coach at Stanford (2016-24), and UAB (2012-16). Haase, the 2016 CUSA COY, has a career record of 206–180 (.534).

He will replace Mike Jones, who was dismissed on March 9th after 5-seasons on the job (93-69 – .574.

An 11:00am presser is scheduled for tomorrow to officially introduce Haase.
