REPORT: Kim English set to be hired as Assistant Basketball Coach at North Carolina Basketball

Former Providence head basketball coach Kim English is joining Michael Malone’s staff at North Carolina, according to a report from TarHeel247.

English had spent the past three seasons as the Friars head coach (48–52) before being released earlier this off-season. He also spent two seasons as the head coach at George Mason before taking over at PC.

Prior to his time as a head coach, English was an assistant at Tennessee, Colorado, and Tulsa. The former Missouri standout was the 44th pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Pistons, and played overseas before embarking on his coaching career.

More on this one once it’s made official.
