According to a report by Blue Ribbon College Basketball’s Chris Dortch, Chattanooga will hire Lamont Paris as their new Head Basketball Coach. Paris would replace Matt McCall who became the head coach at UMass late last week.

Paris had been an assistant at Wisconsin since 2010, and was elevated to associate head coach prior to this past season. He was a finalist for the UTC job in 2015 when it went to McCall. The 43-year old has been to two Final Fours with Wisconsin and spent six seasons as an assistant at Akron before joining the Badgers staff.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
