According to a Tweet from Jeff Goodman, 82-year old Larry Brown is expected to join Mike Hopkins staff at the University of Washington.
Brown, who had most recently spent time on Penny Hardaway’s staff at Memphis, has been coaching at the college and pro level since 1965. As a head coach, he has won an NCAA national championship (Kansas – 1988) and an NBA title (Detroit – 2004), and owns a 1,275–965 lifetime record between the ABA, NBA, and NCAA. Brown was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
